My old pin banner got full so I wanted to go BIG on my next one, a 36 by 72 inches is just what I needed. The banner is 25 inches by 45 inches, and has plenty of room for many years of pin purchasing to come. And the gray is a perfect neutral background to let my pins take focus.
I do arts residency work with school students in Maryland. One of the projects I do is Plant Dyes. Students are introduced to traditional dyes like indigo and rose madder. We also used petals from marigolds and orange cosmos.We discuss various historical and cultural connections, depending on the grade level. These were done by 4th and 5th graders. They learned about fabric production and plant dye use in Colonial America. Students dyed a piece of cotton and a piece of your lovely natural felt. We compared how the different fibers take the dye. Students made a very simple embroidery, using the wool felt to make design to appliqué to the cotton. The local source I had for wool felt has closed. I am so happy to have found your company.

I really love your felt! It takes, and holds, dye very well (with a bit of vinegar in the dye bath), and shrinks up just a bit to make nice ears, wings and accessories for my sock puppets. I've purchased three times and will be back for more.

I bought this for backing embroidery hoops. It’s the perfect weight and very nice quality.
Your 100% wool felt is very nice. It takes dye really well and the price is about the same as the wool/rayon blend felt at my local fabric store. I use wool felt for details on my hand puppets, such as ears and eyes.
