Meet Our 2025/26 Felt Ambassadors

At The Felt Store, we take great joy in collaborating with exceptional felt and wool artists and makers. These creative minds take pride in connecting and crafting with others in the community while generously sharing their expertise through unique felt DIY tutorials. Our Felt Ambassadors are truly passionate about their craft and are driven to inspire others with their remarkable felt creations and the processes behind them.

Jill Bentham

Meet Jill, the creative force behind The Felted Fawn (and an original member of The Felt Store’s ambassador team since day one). Her felting journey began in 2014 when she discovered a passion for crafting felt flowers. Over time, her experimentation expanded to various felt crafts, delighting her family and friends with her creations.

Originally known for her felt pennants, Jill has flourished into creating a wide range of custom, handcrafted pieces. She specializes in meaningful, made-to-order creations that are personal to each customer — including nursery décor, heartfelt mobiles, and personalized pet ornaments.

"I truly adore working with felt and The Felt Store has made it even more enjoyable for me - allowing me to easily find beautiful and high-quality vegan felt which aligns with my core values and business objectives."

Specializing in material exploration and translating ideas and concepts into tangible forms that can be held and felt.

"I enjoy immersing myself in learning more about each new craft and medium, and seeing the endless possibilities of how things can intersect. Fibre has been one of the longest ongoing mediums that I absolutely love, and I don’t see myself ever stopping working with it.”

Heidi Rugg

Heidi Rugg is a puppetry artist, storyteller, and teaching artist.  She founded Barefoot Puppet Theatre in 1997, a company born of her desire to share story-driven, timely works to uplift youth and family audiences. Heidi stumbled into wool about twenty years ago while in search of more eco-friendly processes for making puppets.

Over the years, Heidi has developed processes and techniques for wet-felting and needle-felting with wool and natural fibers as she creates durable puppets for live performances.

"I've always been a maker, but when I found my way to wool, it was love at first touch. Wool felt is sturdy and versatile, and working with wool fibers is akin to sculpting with clouds."

Lorrie Everitt

Lorrie Everitt is the creative force behind Make & Merry Co. After a successful career as a Creative Director and Graphic Artist, she is now retired and embracing the opportunity to spend more time doing what she loves most—creating, making, and inspiring others through crafting.

Lorrie is a lifelong DIY enthusiast who enjoys transforming simple materials into meaningful projects. She frequently incorporates felt into her crafting and home décor projects due to its versatility, tactile appeal, and ease of use. Passionate about sustainable making, Lorrie encourages makers to thoughtfully consider the materials they choose and their environmental impact.

"I think that makers need to be more aware of the materials we are using and how our choices affect the environment and our planet. It's not just about reusing and repurposing materials—it's also about considering how and where our supplies are produced, and the impact those choices have on our future."

Laura Zeo

Laura Zeo is a felt artist and boy mom from outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has coastal inclinations, loves bead and sequin work, and is excited to share her techniques to alter felt in her tutorials to come!

Laura specializes in custom 100% wool felt art .

"I am thrilled to return to The Felt Store Ambassador Team this year--they truly are like felt family. They, and our niche craft community, have given me so much support during chemotherapy. As many things out of my control had me in a creative freeze state, I am reinvigorated by the idea to reciprocate the kindnesses of the art community I love so much by sharing techniques and tutorials for those who also seek whimsy and joy in difficult times."

"I love the versatility of wool as it allows me to be super creative in all aspects of wool, whether I'm sculpting a cute critter or painting with fiber on a felt sheet. My goal is to bridge the gap between imagination and reality, one stab at a time, and to help others discover the therapeutic magic of turning simple fibers into art."
